hi everyone!!! sorry it's been so long since the last post. i hope everyone is having a great summer. i don't have much to report about the kidney swap. which is good and frustrating at the same time. right now owen's kidney function is stable. we keep checking it every 4 weeks. as long as it stays stable the doctor doesn't want to push forward with anything to gives him as much time as possible to grow bigger and stronger. owen seems to be feeling well, so that's the good part. the frustrating part is the anticipation of going to the next appointment and feeling like is the swap could be scheduled today and then finding out that it's not. it is getting a little easier with each appointment :-) so nick and i have decided to enjoy this summer. spend as much time with our growing kids, family and friends as possible and try not let this kidney swap define us. we've planned several mini family vacations and are taking it easy and having fun. here are some pics of what we have been up to......
