a tired "wedding guy"

It has been so crazy around here these last couple weeks. Nat and Dom got married on Feb. 19th. and i have to say that i'm so proud of my little owen for being the best "wedding guy" ever. the "wedding guy" is the name that owen gave himself and it fit perfect. in case you don't know what a "wedding guy" is it is the most important job in the wedding.....walking the bride down the isle. there is only one other person that could of done this job, but owen was the only one perfect enough to do it in his absence :-) he gave his aunt nat nat a kiss and uncle domo a high five and when the reverend said who gives natalie to dominic he said "i do" loud and clear.....it was so sweet!!! it was the best night and i'm so happy for my sister nat and my new brother-in-law dom. it was bitter sweet not having my dad there and seeing all his favorite people without him but his spirit was definitely all over the place.

starting Sunday evening we noticed that owen wasnt feeling so good and felt like he had a fever. this continued off and on thru out the week. i kept him home from school just in case it was the flu but my gut was telling me it was his kidneys. on Thursday he seemed to get worse and stopped eating so when nick got home with him he checked his temp and it was 102.5 so he took him to the ER at Children's Mercy. and just like we thought he had a Urinary Tract Infection so they sent us home with a antibiotic. he seems better today and got his appetite back. now we just have to keep our fingers crossed that this goes away so he can still have his surgery on the 10th. which by the way is 12 days away....the count down is on. i'm getting a little bit nervous :-/ owen hasnt had 15 different surgeries but the last one was in 2006 maybe 2007. i'm not quite sure which one was exactly the last one but i know he couldn't walk, talk, or sit up. so what makes me the most nervous now is that he can look at me and tell me he doesn't want to do this or that it hurts and what am i suppose to say back???? :-(

nick got word this week that was approved so far for the "kidney swap". he just has one more test, a CT scan, which will be march 11th. the day after owens surgery.

even when he isn't feeling so good he is still so cool . we had a b-day party to go to tonight and before we left he asked me to spike his hair.....gotta love his style!!!!!
